Current mood: cheerful
I know you have all been eagerly anticipating another round of AK pics. As some of you know, I arrived in Seward last Friday evening after a marathon drive north. I left Utah on Monday afternoon, picked up a friend...Cody...in Roslyn, WA on Tuesday morning and we hit the road north. The first day blew....Seattle construction, hassled at customs (again) and Whistler construction. Took us forever to make it a mere 300 miles. Fortunately, with the exception of running out of gas, the rest of the trip was smooth sailing.

Anyway, the first two days were apparently unispiring...cause there ain't no pictures...

So here we go.

Both this one above and the one below are from Kluane National Park...right at the lake. If you've driven up you know exactly where this is...

The following two are from the Liard River. Meant to take some of the hotsprings too....carried the camera all the way to the pools. But didn't.

After Liard....about 18 miles from Watson Lake. Yep, that's where we ran outta gas. Almost made it....

But at least it was sunny, warm and beautiful.
Cody is listening for traffic...

No, Cody didn't really walk the 18 miles....we were just having fun staging pictures. I mean, really, what else do you do in the middle of nowhere waiting for someone to come by? Eventually, a pickup with a pumper came by and gave us half a tank. Yep, gave us...the guy was on his way to pick up his son from college in Red Deer and wouldn't take a dime. Thanks random Yukon native pickup driving mystery guy! I'll try my best to bring the Karma full circle.

Next day......couple of hours from Palmer....passing by the Wrangell-St. Elias range.

Yea...the Seward Highway!

Sea Lions greeting us from the Bay as we come in.....

And finally.....home, sweet home.

More to come soon, I'm sure...!!!!
