Current mood: jubilant
Ok, so moving to AK, starting a new job, buying, decorating and moving into a new trailer, training guides and going to school has turned out to be time consuming. Sorry for the lack of posts. This is also going to be a short one, but I thought I'd check in...........

I am heading out into Kenai Fjords National Park for two days on a training trip. I will get some photos and post them soon afterwards.

Really, I will.

Current mood: quixotic
So, I don't really have a lot to say....but I do have some pictures to post. Just humpback whales a few feet from the boat I was on...

I swear, between the whales and eagles....

might as well be surrounded by pigeons. Dirty little garbage eaters.....wish I had a harpoon.

These humpbacks appear to be a cow and a calf, as well as one other....

They were so close to the boat I could almost see into their blow holes. I could see them underwater.....or at least the dark shape of them underwater.

Yea, ok....this is a pretty sweet picture. I know.

K, curious about humpbacks in the Gulf of Alaska area?

Current mood: exanimate
Ok, so a girl can only stare at the damned schedule for so long.
So. I decided to distract myself for a few minutes searching google for competition for my hair picture.I

ts a scary, scary world!

Ok, while I question the content of some of these sites, I love the hair pictures. And I thought I held the biggest hair crown in high school...

More craziness...

Be afraid, very afraid. I'm pretty sure this is what Greg should do for a living.

Current mood: tired
Well, I knew it was too good to be true. The big warm ball in the sky has disappeared. After nearly 3 weeks of warmth and sun Seward is back to normal. With over 60 inches of rain annually, what do I expect, right? Anyway, if you are curious....

webcam over the Seward small boat harbor.

Seward forecast ; see what we are getting for the next few days.

or for those of you who are water/kayak savvy, check out the marine forecast.

Ok, that's all I've got for today.

Current mood: rejuvenated
Ok, here they are....the freaking pictures I promised.
You'd better be grateful. I'm indoors and it is 70 degrees and sunny on the Kenai Penninsula. But I love you all so much that I'm updating my blog.

On the way out, we had Dall's Porpoise surfing the bow wake of the 40 foot boat we used to transport us out into the fjord's.
These animals are about 8 feet below where I am on the boat. It's tough to get a decent picture of an animal swimming 25 mph.

Instead of a long blurb about nothing.......
