How does it get to be this time of year so quickly?

Something you probably don't know about me...I want to live in AK year-round. Well, AK 'year-round' which means leaving for 2-3 months sometime between November and February. Anyway, I want to stay so badly that I have nightmares about leaving AK during the summer. It'll be June or July and I'll dream that the summer is already over and that I've been forced to leave the state. And I'll get really agitated and upset and I struggle against the idea of how quickly time has gone by when I know it is not actually time to leave AK.

Don't get me wrong, I'd probably be in WI about this time or a bit later to visit the Fam, but I'd know my return to AK was only a few weeks in the future. It's the SEVEN months until my return that I absolutely hate. I've been trying to set aside that feeling, because it can take away from enjoying what is happening right now (the far more important thing to focus on) but occasionally I'm a bit overwhelmed.

It has a lot to do with the complications of lower 48 life, over crowding, over spending, and the shitty ways some people treat each other. Luckily, I've gone from Seward to (the) Viroqua whcih isn't entirely too drastic of a transition. That one day in Seattle along the way was a bit of culture shcok though....

Onwards to the pictures! (the whambulance is leaving). Following are a random few from the summer. As you do probably know I take THOUSANDs of photos and I'm a procrastinator when it comes to sorting them.....but I will someday.



























































































Okay, my short attention span is too short to keep posting. Someday I'm going to build myself a photo website. Someday. :)
