Current mood: bouncy
Category: Travel and Places
So, last week I finally began my travels back north. For those of you who don't know, after several summers living in SE AK, I took last summer off to hang with the family in Wisconsin. This year I have taken a job in the Kenai Penninsula. To get there, I opted to drive to Bellingham, WA and ferry to Juneau to visit my friend Keith, whom I haven't seen in more than a year. I am currently in Juneau, but will be catching the ferry to Haines in the next day or so, and then driving to Anchorage for a short stop to see friends before heading down the penninsula.So. I have some pictures to share, as usual. Following are the pictures from one long, sleepy trip.

The first night, the sunset on the Juan de Fuca Strait was beautiful, as it always is....

Reminds me of a volcano, this is somewhere near Klemtu, BC.

BC coastal lighthouse

BC Coast Guard cutter

The ferry docked in Ketchikan, AK

Nearing Wrangell, AK

Yes, there is a bar on the ferry. It is covered in red velvet, and velvet paintings of Elvis, and is fantastically ghetto.
